Wow, you guys!
I am still on such a high from my first-ever content day!
I’m finally caught up with editing all the images and each time I finish a gallery I’m just blown away by how awesome this day was! From the models and the locations to the incredible photographers who showed up and each put their own unique creative spin on the day. It was just such a dream and I can’t wait to share the pictures with you!
Our day started at Seville Quarter, a bar in downtown Pensacola, where our first model couple Hannah and Mary pulled off my vision for my ‘Vintage Couple’ setup. This quirky and unique spot provided the perfect backdrop from the old brick of the exterior, to the historic and dark layout inside the couples’ outfits perfectly contrasted with the colors in the bar to create this moody ‘old fashioned love’ vibe. With outfits styled by the awesome Valerie from Rocket Anyway Vintage!
The second location was Long Hollow Creative where we had two different shoots happening with two very different styles. The first was an editorial-style shoot, with Emily in a traditional white dress and her partner Gabe in a suite. This was a floral heavy set up with white Babies Breath as a bouquet and white flowers on the wall. The weather decided to add another dimension to the shoot and as the rain eased up, we grabbed umbrellas and went outside. This was such an awesome unexpected addition to the shoot but it was definitely a vibe!
The second couple at this location was my ‘Edgy Bridal’ couple, Kayley and Daniel. Their awesome tattoos and unique piercings were perfect for this vibe! Kayley was styled in a lace dress with Dr. Martens and Daniel wore a white shirt, unbuttoned with black pants. Complete with an old-fashioned dial phone full of flowers, this setup was so fun, it gave the photographers the opportunity to really get creative and capture something totally fun and unique. As for the models, they NAILED the vibe I was dreaming of!
Our final location of the day was a sweet glamping site called Cold Water Gardens. I rented one of the cabins where our models, Mita and Xaviar, pulled off a fun, cozy, retro look! This location definitely required a flash because it was past sunset which just added to the homey, warm feel of the shoot. We had a suitcase full of flowers as a prop which really tied everything together.
As well as these shoots, I also threw in a surprise shoot which included His and Hers flat lays for detailed shots. Styled on a floral tray from Resonate With Bridget we had vintage details such as the scissors and Chanel perfume alongside the cutest earrings from Clay And Fern Co.
The whole day was an overall success and I loved every minute of it! But don’t just take my word for it, here are some testimonials from the awesome photographers who showed up…
“I had so much fun at this content day! Becs pulled out all the stops to create some awesome, edgy and unique shoots that I would have never been able to pull off by myself! All while having fun and connecting with other awesome photographers!” – McKenzie Studios
“Becs’ content day way really fun, exciting and incredible! She picked amazing models, venues and worked with Rocket Anyway Vintage to pull together outfits for her models to wear. Everything was easy to travel to and from! Becs lets you guide the models into poses you want for any shots you might want. Models were all diverse, easy going and super sweet. 10/10 recommend!” – Angela Manning Photography
“I absolutely loved working with Becs. It was my first content day and it was a blast. Becs is very friendly and professional and I was constantly in awe of how many fun poses she could come up with! 10/10 would work with her again!” – Shannah Marie Photography
From the success we had on this day it would be rude of me to not hold another content day… so stay tuned on my Instagram for updates on all things styled shoots! I’d love to see you at my next event!
I see my photography life as a complete life altering decision. I shot my first wedding in Cancun, Mexico and have since shot weddings in four different states. From traveling between the gulf coast all the way back to the midwest, I can't imagine what it would be like to not capture milestones along the way.
