The locations you both enjoy are a great place to start when choosing your backdrop because these are the places you feel most comfortable! 

When having your pictures taken it’s so important to feel comfortable because this helps the pictures look more natural and authentic. Choosing somewhere like your favourite date night location, can really help you to feel relaxed because it’s somewhere that’s familiar to you and as a result helps create beautiful and candid pictures! 

2. What best represents you?

This is an important question to ask because it helps the pictures to be as authentic and true as possible. The location of the shoot should help describe you and tell your story, representing this time in your lives.

Does a night on the town represent you both, or are you more likely to be found enjoying a day at the beach? These are two very different backdrops, with two very very different outcomes. Make sure your location represents you in a way that’s true to you, and screams who you are as a couple.

3. Is there a location you’ve always dreamed of? 

Do you just already have a vision for how you want this shoot to look and have a dream location in mind? This can be somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit, somewhere you have seen on instagram and fell in love with, or maybe maybe we go all out and do a destination shoot!
